Cowboys News: Jerry Jones’ family was involved in a car crash before a 49ers game

The Dallas Cowboys will face the San Francisco 49ers in an important matchup on Sunday Night Football. While Jerry Jones was ready to watch his team take on the 49ers, he experienced a scary situation involving his family who were also heading to the game.

According to Todd Archer of The Athletic, the second vehicle carrying Charlotte Jones, Jerry Jones Jr. and Shy Anderson Jr. was hit by a rising barricade just outside Levi’s Stadium. Charlotte and Jerry Jr. they had to undergo examinations by the team’s medical staff and were still allowed to participate in the game.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident, but that doesn’t make it any less terrifying. Jerry and Stephen Jones were traveling in the other car at the time of the accident.

This is the second case of a car accident, and the figures are in NFL in the last two weeks. Just five days ago, Carolina Panthers quarterback Andy Dalton and his family were also involved in an accident.

Dalton was in the vehicle with his wife, three children and their dog. No one involved in this particular accident had to be transported to hospital. Dalton did suffer an injury related to the accident, namely an injury to his right thumb.

Dalton’s injury kept him out of practice all week and he was ruled out of Sunday’s game. Bryce Young stepped in again, throwing for 224 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in the Panthers’ 28-14 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Both incidents were horrific, but both families appear to have escaped virtually unscathed. This is good news, considering that some car accidents can be very serious.

The Cowboys are on the road tonight and will face the 49ers at Santa Clara Stadium in California. Both teams are looking for a big win to stay alive in their respective leagues.

San Francisco is currently 3-4 on the season and is one win away from tying both the Seattle Seahawks and the first-place Arizona Cardinals with a 4-4 record. With the victory, the Cowboys would move to 4-3 on the season and would still be behind the first-place Washington Commanders with a 6-2 record and the second-place Philadelphia Eagles with a 5-2 record.

Dallas has a tough road ahead of them considering how competitive the Eagles and Commanders have been so far. To stay in the NFC East, they will have to beat the 49ers.
