Beaverton man allegedly hit grandfather with baseball bat, charged with attempted murder

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A Beaverton man was arrested on attempted murder charges after officials received reports that he hit his grandfather with a baseball bat, deputies said.

Peter Stine, 26, is charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon after his grandfather suffered a “serious head injury.”

The search for Susan Lane-Fournier is entering its fourth day

The victim was transported from a home at 17000 NW Joscelyn St. to the local hospital. Authorities said he was hopeful he would survive.
