Vanaparthi: A Class 7 student, Praveen of SC Boarding School in Madanapur mandal, was found dead in his hostel room.

Praveen, who hailed from Ponnuru village in Madanapur, was found hanging in his room. The reasons for this drastic step have not yet been determined.

Praveen’s parents earn a living in Hyderabad while he attends boarding school. Praveen is said to have suffered the injury on Tuesday while playing a school kabaddi game.

On Wednesday, school staff informed his relatives about the injury. They reached the hostel to take Praveen to the hospital for treatment. When they contacted the principal, they were told to find Praveen in the hostel where he was reportedly resting.

But Praveen’s relatives found him hanging from the ceiling fan in the hostel. He was immediately rushed to Wanaparthy District Hospital, where doctors confirmed his death.

The police registered a case and started investigation. According to reports, Praveen got into a fight with another student during his physical education class and suffered serious injuries.

Praveen’s failure to admit him to hospital despite his injuries raised suspicions.

The incident increases the number of student suicides in the state, highlighting a disturbing trend. Education department officials are also investigating the circumstances surrounding Praveen’s death.
