Russia says two people died as a result of a Ukrainian ATACMS attack in the Kursk Oblast — Meduza

According to the Main Military Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee, on November 23, two people died as a result of a Ukrainian strike in the Fatezh region in the Kursk region of Russia. In a statement published on the Telegram channel, the directorate said the attack used “three tactical rockets aimed at the village of Bolshoye Zhirowo, where civilians were present.”

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that on the same day, Ukrainian forces struck a Russian S-400 air defense division near the village of Lotarevka, also in the Fatezh Oblast. Bolshoye Zhirowo is approximately 29 km from Lotarewka. The ministry said five ATACMS missiles were involved in the attack, of which three were intercepted and two reached their targets. The attack damaged a radar station and injured Russian soldiers, although the ministry did not disclose the number of victims.
