David Harris, an actor best known for his role as Cochise in the 1979 fan favorite Warriorsdied at the age of 75.

Harris died on Friday at his home in New York after a long battle with cancer, his daughter Davina Harris confirmed. New York Times.

Distinguished by his headband and large turquoise necklace, Cochise had a unique sense of style that represented rebellion.

Though Warriors initially met with heavy criticism upon release, it eventually gained a devoted following and achieved cult status.

Reflecting on the film’s lasting impact, Harris shared in a 2019 interview Radio ADAMI“We thought it was a short film that would pass and no one would talk about it again.”

Harris’ role in the film left a lasting impression on fans, as Warrior gained fame for portraying gang culture and the rough underworld of New York City.
