Multiple shootings investigated in Phoenix in Glendale Tuesday night

PHOENIX — Police in Phoenix and Glendale are investigating multiple separate shootings that occurred Tuesday night in the Valley.

Glendale police say two gunshot wound victims were found in Glendale Tuesday evening.

One victim was taken to the hospital and the other was found near 51st and Maryland Avenue.

Glendale police say both victims are linked to the Phoenix police investigation, but further details were not immediately confirmed.

Phoenix police say one shooting occurred near 39th and Glendale Avenue and the victim was a teenager.

An unknown suspect reportedly shot and killed an “older teenager” during a robbery.

The victim suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

No suspect or suspects have been located and the investigation is ongoing.

Phoenix police are investigating whether it’s related to a shooting near 51st and Maryland Avenue.

Officers were called to investigate another shooting that occurred around 8 p.m. at the Phoenix Hotel near Interstates 10 and 7th Street.

The victim, identified only as a man, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police say there were no suspects in the area when officers arrived and the investigation is ongoing.

One man was shot near 75th Avenue and Indian School Road following an armed robbery around 10:50 p.m.

Phoenix police say two men reported an armed robbery during which shots were fired, hitting one of the men.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Other officers who arrived at the scene located a vehicle believed to be involved in the incident nearby. Police say all of the car’s occupants were detained when the car’s driver tried to flee. The police say that the people traveling in the second car were also detained for the purposes of the investigation.

Another shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. near 27th Avenue and Indian School Road.

Phoenix police officials say a man was found with at least one gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing and it is unclear if any suspects have been identified.
