Harrisonburg police identify suspect in Dick’s Sporting Goods store theft

HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) – Thanks to tips from the community, Harrisonburg police have identified a suspect in connection with a theft at a Dick’s Sporting Goods store.

HPD first received a call about the incident Friday around 1 p.m. at the Dick’s Sporting Goods store at the Valley Mall on East Market Street.

According to HPD’s Facebook post, a woman entered the store with a man and asked to try on Nike Air Max shoes. Later, a store associate discovered the shoe boxes were empty and the man and woman left without paying.

At 10 a.m. Wednesday, HPD updated their post to say they had identified the female suspect.
