A driver was killed and another injured in a crash involving a deer on I-94

A driver was killed and another was injured in a crash involving a deer on Interstate 94 in Dayton on Sunday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Ford Escape was traveling east on I-94 around 5:30 a.m. when the driver struck a deer and landed in the center lane near Brockton Lane.

The Escape was then rear-ended by another Mazda CX-5.

The driver of the Ford, identified as a 60-year-old woman from South Haven, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been revealed yet.

The driver of the Mazda, 32-year-old Becker, was taken to hospital.
