Panthers name S Nick Scott back from injured reserve

Safety Nick Scott returned to practice for the Panthers.

The team announced it had designated Scott to return from injured reserve on Wednesday. Scott has been sidelined for the past four games with a hamstring injury and will be eligible to train for the next three weeks before the activation deadline.

Appearing in the first seven games of the season, Scott defended 28 tackles and two passes. Scott started four of those contests.

Scott’s participation level in Wednesday’s practice will be reported on the team’s injury report. The Panthers will face the Buccaneers on Sunday.
