A Hudson man is accused of driving under the influence and causing a three-vehicle crash in Vermont.

It happened just after 12:30 a.m. on November 25, Vermont State Police said Peter Guernsey, 45, was driving his truck on Route 7 south of Hartsboro Road in the town of Wallingford. He crossed the double yellow line and hit a truck.

Guernsey then drove in the wrong lane and struck the other vehicle, causing the vehicle to roll on its passenger side down an embankment, police said.

Guernsey suffered minor injuries and was taken to Rutland Regional Medical Center for evaluation. He was charged with driving under the influence, and other charges are pending.

The extent of the other drivers’ injuries is unknown.
