Elon Musk’s dad talks bullying, emeralds and more in an interview with Wild Podcast

Elon Musk estranged father dropped some major bombshells in a wide-ranging, uncensored release interview in the online series “Podcast i Chill with MacG”, earlier this month.

During an interview with podcaster Macgyver Mukwevho, businessman and politician Errol Musk he claimed that the tension between him and his son began over Errol’s support for the president-elect Donald Trump, whom he called “a good man” and “a solid businessman.”

“He was just brainwashed by it Democrats” – the elder Musk said of his then-son, who in recent years went from a Democratic donor to one of Trump’s most powerful supporters.

In fact, Elon Musk campaigned so hard for Trump this year that he deserved the award an unofficial role in the next presidential administration as co-chair of the newly created “Department of Government Performance.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, Errol Musk remembered his son as a “typical boy,” albeit without a filter.

When asked if the tech billionaire was bullied as a child, as Musk claims, his father remembered the situation slightly differently.

“No, this is another story that is not entirely true,” said Errol Musk.

According to the elder Musk, one an incident from high school Elon repeated – when a classmate pushed him down the stairs, leaving him in the hospital – actually started when Elon stood up to another boy about his father’s suicide.

“Some boy’s father committed suicide and everyone knew about it, and Elon told the boy, ‘Your father was stupid,'” Errol Musk said. He agreed that the man’s suicide was “stupid”. But he recalled that even police and school officials told Errol that “what Elon said to that boy was too much. You can’t say that.

During the interview, Errol Musk also cleared up some misconceptions about his involvement in the African emeralds trade.

Elon Musk has repeatedly denied his father I’ve ever owned one emerald mine. But the elder Musk – who owned shares in an emerald mine in Zambia, according to Snopes — said his son was fully aware of his father’s work in the gemstone industry and once even helped him negotiate a deal with Tiffany & Co.

“Elon knows all about emeralds,” said Errol Musk. “It’s only because, you see, he wants to tell the people of America that he, too, had a hard time.”

In a casual conversation, Musk also addressed his affair with his former stepdaughter, discussed his family’s ties to South Africa’s apartheid regime and shared his views on Elon disowning his transgender daughter Vivian Wilson.
