Are you having difficulty passing your studies? DU allows UG, PG students to change their subject after many failed attempts – India TV

In a significant move, the University of Delhi (UoD) has allowed undergraduate and postgraduate students to change their course of study after many failed attempts. This decision follows the amendment of section 6 Regulation IV of the university, which concerns migration and readmission. According to the amendment, if a student fails to pass optional or elective subjects after repeated attempts, he or she may obtain permission to change the optional, elective or supplementary subjects.

According to the notification, the amendment will be effective from the 2024-25 academic session. Earlier, changes in optional, elective or additional subjects in any semester of undergraduate and postgraduate courses were not allowed.

What did the official announcement say?

“If a student fails after repeated attempts, he or she may be permitted to change elective, elective or additional subjects in any semester of postgraduate or undergraduate studies, enroll in a new optional subject, meet all academic requirements including attendance, internal assessments and grades. continuous and thus obtained the required points,” the notification reads.

What are the requirements for changing an item?

According to the notice, Students opting for a new subject must register for the course and meet all academic requirements, including attendance and internal assessments, as well as obtain the credits required for passing. The university ordered all universities and institutes to comply with the updated order in force for the current academic year.
