BGT 2024-25: Will Shubman Gill be in the playing eleven for the Adelaide Test against Australia? The report says…

The Indian cricket team, led by Rohit Sharma, has arrived in Canberra ahead of a two-day pink ball practice match against the Prime Minister’s XI on November 30. The match, which will be played at Manuka Oval, is expected to be good preparation for the day-night Test in Adelaide on December 6.

Against India, despite the absence of captain Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and all-rounders Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, the team triumphed in Perth in the first Test against Australia. Team India recorded their biggest win on Australian soil when he defeated the hosts by a margin of 295 runs in the opening match Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Perth.

Update on Rohit Sharma:

Rohit left the Perth Test squad because he wanted to spend time with his family after the birth of his son. However, according to reports, he was seen sitting on the bench on the fourth day of the Perth Test India times.

Sharma, who was seen attending training sessions, will now take charge of the unit for the Adelaide Test, which is scheduled to begin on December 6.

Update on Shubman Gill:

Considered as the prince of the Indian batting team, Shubman Gill missed out on the Playing XI for the Perth Test because he injured his thumb during a match simulation.

Gill sat in the stands throughout the Perth Test, covering his injured thumb. However, in the latest video released by BCCI on social media, the star Indian batsman was not wearing a bandage or straps.

In Gill’s absence, the selection committee asked Devdutt Padikkal to bat at number 3. However, with Rohit and Shubman back, Padikkal and KL Rahul are expected to be on the bench.

Updates on Gautam Gambhir:

Meanwhile, there is new information about Team India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir who flew back home due to personal situation. He is expected to join the team on December 3, three days before the Adelaide Test. In his absence, the team will be led by his Abhishek Nayar, Morne Morkel and Ryan ten Doeschate.
