Clementi stabbing: Suspect taken back to crime scene where he allegedly killed volunteer

SINGAPORE – On October 28, the suspect in the fatal stabbing in Clementi was led back to the scene of the crime.

Surrounded by five police officers, Toh Chee Hong, 50, arrived at Block 311C Clementi Avenue 4 around 10:20 a.m.

Was entered a murder charge for allegedly killing Mr Winson Khoo Chin Waha, 41, October 21 at Block 311B Clementi Avenue 4.

Dressed in a red polo shirt, black shorts and slippers, Toh walked past the media and public gathered outside the cordon with his head down.

The suspect, whose hands and feet were restrained, was taken to an empty deck and an elevator to go to a unit on level 19, which was blocked off to the media.

At about 11:15 a.m., seven police officers led him to an empty deck near the playground.

There they questioned him and he looked down and nodded.

He also pointed to the ground and officers placed a marker near the drain.

He was then taken to a nearby multi-storey car park at around 11:30 am. By then, over 50 people had gathered around the police cordon.

About 10 minutes later, Toh was escorted to a black unmarked vehicle, which left the scene.

Court documents did not specify what exact weapon was used in the alleged murder.

However, video footage of the incident captured by residents shows the suspect stabbing the victim multiple times with a small object at the foot of Block 311B.

The People’s Association (PA) said Khoo was a grassroots volunteer.
