SAPD says 2 dead, 2 injured in East Side shooting

SAN ANTONIO – Two people are dead and two injured in a shooting on the East Side, according to San Antonio police.

According to SAPD Chief William McManus, a group of people had gathered at a home in the 600 block of Potomac Street since Wednesday.

On Thursday morning, a man leaving the house began shooting. McManus said police weren’t sure why the man started shooting.

McManus said two of the people who died and at least one of the injured were men in their 20s.

It is not known how serious the victim’s injuries are.

The man was initially arrested a few blocks away near East Houston Street and North New Braunfels Avenue. McManus said the man was arrested.
