School bus crash on QEW, lanes blocked in Oakville

How does it work?

A school bus collided with another vehicle on the QEW.

Department of Transportation reports show the incident occurred in the eastbound lanes of the highway near Bronte Road in Oakville around 3 p.m.

There were no reports of injuries or whether any school-age children were on the bus at the time.

Initial information shows that no ambulance was called to the scene.

Traffic in the area was slowed as some eastbound lanes were closed.

Drivers in the westbound lanes slowing down to see the confusion caused by the presence of flashing lights are also causing delays in that direction.

Ontario Provincial Police have not yet commented on the accident, but new information is expected.
