Over 100 women commit mass suicide in Sudan’s Al Jazirah

ALBAWABA – Shocking reports continue to emerge from Sudan of rapes and sexual assaults being used as weapons of war against women by Sudan’s belligerents, especially the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which have committed widespread acts of rape and even rape collective.

Human Rights Watch has released an 89-page report titled “Khartoum Is Not Safe for Women”: Sexual Violence Against Women and Girls in Sudan’s Capital, documenting horrific rape and sexual violence, as well as forced and child marriage in Sudan since the beginning of the war April 15, 2023

HRW also reported that women in Khartoum and neighboring cities are being held and exploited by the RSF in terrible conditions that may “amount to sexual slavery.”

She, who was seen wearing a hijab in the colors of the Sudanese flag, said that more than 100 women were killed in the village of Al Jazirah. “Women in the village commit suicide.”

The Sudanese woman added: “More than 100 women committed suicide to protect themselves from sexual violence by the RSF.” In other posts on X, activists reported that over 130 women committed mass suicide in Al Jazirah state.

She said: “More than 500 people died in one village in Al Jazirah state in central Sudan. The RSF lined up all the men in the village and killed every one of them.” “Bodies are strewn in the street,” the activist maintained.
