45-year-old man shot dead at Patiala crematorium over property dispute

On Friday morning, a 45-year-old man was shot dead at a crematorium near Glalori Gate.

The victim was identified as Navneet Singh, who was visiting the crematorium to collect the mortal remains of his uncle.

While he was standing in the crematorium with other relatives, two attackers appeared and opened fire.

According to eyewitnesses, the attackers fired at Navneet’s head from close range, killing him instantly.

Later, the accused fled the scene.

Prima facie, the killing appears to be the result of a property dispute, SP Sarfaraz Alam said.

Navneet Singh was the adopted son of his parents.
