Woodstock car crash: 3 dead, child seriously injured in serious crash on Davis Road in McHenry County, officials say

MCHENRY COUNTY (WLS) — Three people have died and a minor has been airlifted to hospital following a serious crash in the far northwest suburbs on Sunday afternoon.

The crash occurred around 12:02 a.m. in the 13400 block of Davis Road in unincorporated Woodstock, McHenry County officials said.

When first responders arrived and located the scene of a serious car accident, one vehicle was completely engulfed in flames, officials said.

Crews rescued a juvenile trapped in a silver SUV involved in a crash. The child was transported by helicopter to Maywood Hospital.

The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene.

Firefighters located two people trapped in a black sedan. Both people were also pronounced dead at the scene.

McHenry County authorities said the Jeep was struck by debris during the crash, but the driver and passenger inside were not injured.

The age and gender of the people involved in the disaster have not been disclosed yet. The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the cause of the crash.
