Nick Cannon is no more “Mariah’s Man (Carey)” – but he remembers their time together.

The actor described the uncertainty he felt during their marriage from 2008 to 2016 in the latest episode of the “Ray Daniels Presents” podcast..

“At the age of 20, I got married… to the biggest star in the world,” the 44-year-old “Masked Singer” host recalled, calling Carey’s level of fame in a “different stratosphere” than his own.

“I lie awake at night and think, ‘Is this me? Am I Mariah’s man? Is this what my life should be like?” Cannon admitted.

The rapper’s doubts increased when Carey, 55, gave birth to a child their now 13-year-old twinsMoroccan and Monroe, in 2011.

“I carry a purse, a diaper bag, and, you know, I stand on the corner and say, ‘Wait,'” the “All That” alum said of the family “hierarchy” at the time.

“She’s great at being the alpha,” Cannon continued, explaining that his ex-wife “deserves” that role in the relationship.

“I believe she needs a guy like that,” he said. “I’m just not that guy.”

Since their split, Cannon has moved on welcome 10 children with Brittany Bell, Alyssa Scott, Abby De La Rosa, Bre Tiesi and Lanisha Cole.

In May 2023, Cannon joked to Jason Lee that Carey has a “high frequency” response. welcoming him Golden, 7, Mighty, 3, twins Zion and Zillion, 3, Legendary, 2, Onyx, 2, Rising, 2, Beautiful, 1, Halo, 1 and Zen, who died in 2021.

“He always asks me, ‘Are you OK?’ How are you? Can you cope with all this?” – said the “Wild ‘N Out” host. “When we talk every day, she just checks in on me.”

When it comes to Carey’s love life, the singer has been lately She dated dancer Bryan Tanaka for seven years.

News about the former couple appeared in December 2023 naming it stopsbut Carey has yet to address the headlines.

The Grammy winner released a statement in August about her mother, Patricia Carey, and sister Alison Carey he died the same day.

Mariah thanked her fans for their support during an “impossible time.”

Cannon spoke exclusively to Page Six about his ex’s grief earlier this month.

“She’s doing the best she can given the circumstances,” he said. “But as a family we just have to be there to support each other and show love.

“He really has a great time with the kids,” Cannon concluded. “You know, it’s the most important thing in the world to her, so it’s amazing to see them supporting their mom like that.”
