Tyler Blake Power, 33, pleaded guilty on Oct. 23 to a class B misdemeanor DUI charge. He was sentenced to six days in jail, with all orders suspended, provided he completes an evaluation as ordered and meets other conditions.

On the evening of May 11, the power plant collided

as The Herald previously reported, at 900 South 20th Street.

According to a press release issued by the Grand Forks Police Department at the time, a 2007 Toyota Camry, driven by Heather Wippler, 39, of Grand Forks, was turning into the parking lot of Ben Franklin Elementary School. She was struck by a 2010 Power Yamaha V95 motorcycle.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories titled “personnel.” Often the title “staff” is used when transcribing basic news from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, that require little or no reporting. Sometimes this signature is used when an article has multiple authors or when the article is created by combining previously reported news from different sources. If external sources are used, this is noted in the story.
