The Member of Assembly for Oguaa Constituency in the New Juaben South Municipality in the Eastern Region, George Agyei Frempong, has died in an accident while repairing a lamp post.

Frempong, a carpenter in his 30s, collapsed after being electrocuted while repairing a lamp post.

Adom News reported that Frempong, who is not an electrician, fell from a utility pole due to electrocution.

Some residents who were nearby when the incident occurred rushed the crowd to Eastern Regional Hospital, but later died at the facility.
