Berkeley Co. Coroner identifies the victim of a car accident with a pedestrian

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – The Berkeley County Coroner has identified the victim in Thursday’s car-pedestrian accident.

Candice Snead, 31, of Colorado, died after being hit by a car.

Charleston police officers determined the crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Seven Farms Drive near Pier View Street.

They say the pedestrian, now identified as Snead, entered the roadway in the 200 block of Seven Farms Drive and was walking on Bucksley Lane when she was struck by a vehicle.

Snead was transported to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

The driver remained at the scene, but no charges have been brought against him yet.
