Pedestrian killed in accident in Skokie

SKOKIE, Ill. – A man was fatally struck while crossing the street on Sunday afternoon in the northern suburbs Skokie.

According to police, the pedestrian was struck near the intersection of Crawford Avenue and Kirk Street around 4 p.m. He was crossing Crawford Avenue when he was struck by a dark-colored vehicle traveling northbound.

The pedestrian died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.

The striking vehicle did not stop at the scene. No details were provided about the make or model of the car.
