Tim Walz accused of secret relationship with daughter of former CCP official: Reports

Democratic vice presidential candidate and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz allegedly had a secret relationship with the daughter of a former Chinese Communist Party official, according to press reports.

The alleged relationship occurred in Foshan in 1989, as in the Walz case he testified that he was in Foshan this year. However, the relationship reportedly took place and ended before Walz made more than 30 trips to China, organizing a trip for students at his high school, Alliance High School. These trips began in 1993, with the costs partially covered by the Chinese government.

Jenna Wang, who is reported to be the daughter of a CCP official, said she expected the affair to end in marriage, but was devastated by the breakup, which prompted her to consider suicide, according to the New York Post.

“I felt deeply offended and hurt and had to leave the place because many people knew we were in a relationship,” Wang said. “His lack of character as a man, as a responsible person, who worked in education or (in the) military… I thought he loved me too. I loved him.

Wang said the governor, who has not yet commented on the allegations, suggested he intended to propose to her by asking her to send him a passport-sized photo that she believed would be used to obtain a visa.

Wang also wrote an open letter to Americans purporting to warn them about Walz, in which she claimed they met when she was a middle school teacher and he gave her gifts. But they reportedly broke up over a disagreement over whether Wang actually loved him or was applying for a visa.

“While it is true that you did not promise marriage before returning to China, I assumed marriage,” she wrote. “Marriage is what you convinced me to believe in – and you also convinced others, including your friend with whom we had tea.”

Wang also said that a few years after the alleged breakup, she had to flee China and moved to Italy. They never met again, even during Walz’s subsequent visits to China, including his actual wedding.

“Tim lied about Tiananmen Square and lied about other things” – Wang he told the Daily Mail. “This is a very pivotal moment in history and such a man seems to lack the character and integrity to do one of the most important jobs in the world.”

As of press time, the Harris-Walz campaign had not publicly commented on the allegations.
