SUNBURY — One of two Massachusetts residents accused of releasing nearly 700 minks from a fur farm in Northumberland County could have been paid $50,000 for it, state police to talk.

The charge is included in additional charges filed Monday against Christopher Jacob Legere, 25, of Brighton, and Cara Ashley Mitrano, 27, of Worcester, which add charges of being an employee of a corrupt organization and eco-terrorism.

An FBI source told state police investigators that the two were allegedly associated with two anarchist communes in Worcester called “Firehouse” and “Collective A Go Go,” the arrest affidavit said.
