The arrested men have been identified as 19-year-old Lalit Kumar and Munish alias Mani, both residents of Dudholo village in Palwal district of Haryana.

Both accused were arrested in their village on October 25.

On October 7, two masked men fired 17 shots from various weapons at the mobile store.

“The accused, Kaushal Chaudhary, who belongs to the gang, also confessed to the attack and demanded to extort money 5 crore from the shop owner,” a police official said.

“The shop owner Naresh and employees had a narrow escape during the attack, which was reportedly carried out by Sourav Gandoli,” the officer said.

The police narrowed down Sourav Gandoli’s target group as Naresh received many extortion calls from him following the complaint.

“The voice calls received by Naresh were examined in the laboratory. Police teams rushed to Delhi and discovered that the real name of the caller was Pawan Kumar, a resident of Rohini, who had already faced many criminal cases involving ransom and murder,” the officer said.

Based on his criminal record, Munish and Lalit Kumar were identified and raids were conducted to nab them.

Police also found two weapons and seven bullets. On Monday, three more people were appointed in this case.
