Kannur (Kerala), Oct 29 (PTI) A Kerala court on Tuesday rejected the bail plea of CPI(M) leader PP Divya, accused of abetting the suicide of former Kannur additional district judge (ADM) Naveen Babu.

Principal district and adjudicating judge, Thalassery, KT Nissar Ahammed passed an order dismissing the complaint filed by Divya, former president of the Kannur district panchayat.

Attending his supposedly uninvited farewell ceremony on October 14, Divya criticized Babu for delaying the approval of a petrol pump in Chengalai for several months and noted that he had given the approval just two days after the transfer, hinting that knows the reasons for the sudden acceptance.
