The Rams will travel to Seattle for a Week 9 matchup with the Seahawks

After a month at home, the Rams return to the road in Week 9 for an NFC West matchup with the Seahawks at Lumen Field. Sunday’s kickoff is scheduled for 1:25 p.m. PT on FOX.

Before the contest, here’s your first look at Rams-Seahawks.

Notable Seahawks additions

  • On October 24, LB Ernest Jones IV was acquired in a trade with the Titans: The Rams name is well known to fans, and Jones’ arrival helps solidify Seattle’s second tier of defense.
  • Texas draft pick Byron Murphy II, who went 16th overall in this year’s NFL draft: Widely considered one of the top defensive middle linemen in this year’s class, the former Texas standout ability to destroy blocks made him an important figure on the interior of the Seahawks’ defensive line.

Top Players in Week 8

QB Geno Smith completed 21 of 29 passes for 212 yards and one interception in Seattle’s 31-10 home loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Smith was also the Seahawks’ leading rusher with 16 rushing yards on 5 carries; as a team they had 32 total rushing yards.

With top receiver DK Metcalf sidelined with an MCL sprain, WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba led the Seattle offense with six receptions for 69 yards.

Defensively, Jones led Seattle with 15 total tackles in his debut.

On special teams, P Michael Dickson averaged 61.3 yards per punt on four punts, while K Jason Myers had the lone field goal attempt (38 yards) and an extra point attempt.
