The 5-2 Minnesota Vikings addressed one of their biggest weaknesses.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported on Tuesday that the Vikings are acquiring veteran left tackle Cam Robinson from the Jacksonville Jaguars. Rapoport adds that the Vikings are sending the Jaguars a conditional fifth-round pick in 2026 (which could become a fourth-round pick depending on playing time) in exchange for Robinson and a conditional seventh-round pick in 2026 (which could become waived depending on game time). .

Robinson, 29, is an eight-year NFL veteran who spent his entire career with the Jags. Robinson, who was selected in the second round of the 2017 draft (34th overall), recovered from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in 2018 and became one of Jacksonville’s most stable offensive players. The 6-foot-6 Robinson made a total of 91 starts for the Jags and was franchise taged by the team twice before receiving a three-year, $54 million extension ahead of the 2022 season.

Former Alabama star Robinson is currently out of contract and is a fantastic addition to the Vikings, especially thanks a serious injury they just suffered on the offensive line. This year in a very tough NFC North division, Minnesota should get immediate contributions from Robinson, who is producing highlights since my student days.
