Chicago Traffic: Semi Truck on I-55 Near I-355 Exit Causes Long Delays in South Suburbs

LEMONT, Ill. (WLS) — A trailer with a lift caused major delays on I-55 in the south suburbs on Wednesday.

The crash occurred around 4 a.m. in the northbound lane of I-55 approaching I-335.

The accident closed two northbound lanes, causing major delays.

During the crash, the semi-trailer also pushed a guardrail onto southbound I-55, causing the left lane to be closed.

It is not known whether there were any serious injuries.

No information was released by Illinois State Police.
