One person dead, four injured in crash in Lancaster

LANCASTER, S.C. – One person was killed and four others were transported to the hospital following a car crash in Lancaster on Friday evening, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., a Toyota SUV was traveling north on Old Hickory Road near Boxcar Road. Initial findings by firefighters indicate that the vehicle drove off the right side of the road, hit a ditch and a tree, and then overturned.

One person died as a result of the disaster. Four other people traveling in the vehicle were transported to hospital due to their injuries.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating this crash.
