Rupert Murdoch’s New York Post endorsed Trump’s second presidency.

The newspaper’s editorial board claims that the elections are “one of the most important in the history of this great nation” and adds that this decision “will have reverberations for decades.”

Citing concerns about the U.S. border, safe cities, the U.S.’s international standing and gender, the Post says Trump is the “only” option.

The newspaper’s endorsement of the former president is notable considering she relinquished Trump’s presidency in the wake of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. Its editorial team wrote then that “Trump has proven that he is not worthy to be the country’s chief executive again.”

The Post’s editorial is one of several that have appeared recently: The New York Times named Harris the “only choice” for president – as did The Boston Globe.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Times sparked controversy over its lack of any endorsement.

Patrick Soon-Shiong, owner of the LA Times, refused to publish an endorsement of Harris, leading to the resignation of editorial board chair Mariel Garza. According to the American outlet Semafor, two other board members also resigned.
