Philadelphia Eagles inactive list for Week 8 game against Bengals

Philadelphia Eagles inactive list for Week 8 game against Bengals

We’ve already seen the last few games where Jalen Hurts had Saquon Barkley, AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith at his disposal. This led us to a conclusion that I’m sure you’ve drawn as well. If the Philadelphia Eagles can ever get their entire offensive unit on the field and generate some chemistry, it will be a unit that could become a well-oiled machine.

Unfortunately, that won’t happen this week.

Their starting left back (Jordan Mailata) and right back (Mekhi Becton) will not play. The same goes for Dallas Goedert and defensive end Byron Young. Welcome to a typical week in the NFL.

Becton and Goedert have been ruled out of the upcoming match last Friday. After Wednesday and Thursday’s practices for the Cincinnati Bengals, one of their star players, Tee Higgins, received a report on Cincy’s health.

Philly added Young to injured reserve minutes after he was ruled out of the game. Higgins was ruled out ahead of this competition.

Rookie winger Ainias Smith is on the pitch for the first time this season. On Saturday, less than 24 hours before the start of their next game, the Philadelphia Eagles announced they had added him to the 53-man roster from injured reserve.

Football is a derby of destruction. The addition of Byron Young to IR means the Eagles have six players on that list. John Ross is on practice squad injured reserve.

Philly and Cincy are required to announce game day inactives 90 minutes before kickoff. Here is the full report from both teams.
