The Cowboys gave up the sixth-most yards per game in the league NFLand many advanced statistics show that they are the worst defense in the league NFL.

According to DVOA, the Cowboys have the fourth-worst defense in the league NFL. According to FantasyPoints, “Guys are giving up the sixth-fastest yards before contact on each attempt and also have the second-lowest pass rate.

They have allowed some monster performances this year, as detailed below:

  • Alvin Kamara: 20 carries for 115 yards and three TDs
  • Derrick Henry: 25 carries for 151 yards and two TDs
  • David Montgomery: 12 carries for 80 yards and two TDs
  • Jahmry Gibbs: 12 carries for 63 yards

The Cowboys defense has also scored over 40 points twice this season.

Injuries to the wide receiver left the 49ers with some unknowns in the passing game, but for the most part they were able to move the ball up the field consistently.

Overall, Mason has the second-best speed NFLwith the fourth-most yards per game (95.3). He should have another big game in this matchup against the Cowboys.

Dak Prescott 250+ Pass. Yards (+100) DraftKings

While overall it has definitely been a difficult season for Prescott and the Cowboys offense, Prescott’s passing line has dropped too far, which we’ll be happy to take advantage of.

That’s a number Prescott has hit in three of his last five games this season, including two in which he passed for over 350 yards.

Even in a less-than-ideal matchup against the solid 49ers defense, the over will be the best option in this case. One of the games in which Prescott threw for over 350 yards was against the Steelers, whose defense has allowed just 234.9 passing yards per game this year.

In a neutral game scenario, the Cowboys pass at the 11th highest rate, but the good news is that they pass at a high rate whether they lose or win by more than seven.

Dallas has a 58.1 percent pass rate, leading by a seven-plus margin (third-highest in the league). NFL) and a pass rate of 75.6 percent with an advantage of seven plus (seventh highest result). Overall, the Cowboys pass the ball 66.7% of the time, fourth best in the league NFL.

The Cowboys are bidding farewell to the team last year and that’s where Dak Prescott and this passing offense took off last year. Of course, there’s no telling if history will repeat itself, but we hope the Cowboys spent last week looking in the mirror like they did last year.

Last year, Prescott averaged 265.5 passing yards per game (seventh-most). However, after his team’s bye in Week 7, that number skyrocketed to 289.4 passing yards per game (third most).

Since last year’s bye week (including the playoffs and six games this season), Prescott has thrown at least 250 passes in 14 of 19 games. Watch to see if he has another solid outing on Sunday night.
