A tragic tale of despair in Bhadohi

In a heartbreaking incident in Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh, a man allegedly poisoned his twin daughters and then committed suicide after his wife abandoned him, police say.

According to station officer Ajit Kumar Srivastava, the incident occurred in Ugapur area when 27-year-old Omprakash Yadav mixed poison in the milk for his daughters, Aashi and Priyashi.

Yadav, who is struggling with serious mental problems, had earlier reported his wife, Sangam Yadav, missing. He initially tried to commit suicide at home, but was later found dead 500 meters away. The bodies of the twins were discovered in his home, prompting a police investigation.
