Appearing on the Charlie Kirk Show, Kelly, 54, who worked with Hegseth, 44, at Fox News, shared her thoughts on the accusations.

According to a recently released Monterey, California police report, the woman, in her 30s, was drinking champagne with colleagues on a business trip when the situation became “challenging” and she unexpectedly found herself in a room with Hegseth.

Timothy Parlatore, Hegseth’s lawyer, dismissed the accusations as “baseless” and tantamount to “successful extortion,” admitting that his client paid the woman to stay mum because he didn’t want to lose his job.

When asked about the “smear campaign” against HegsethKelly, who claimed she was the “reason” he became a Fox News contributor, admitted she “does not recommend” marrying him.

Megyn Kelly sets the record straight on Hegseth, speaking out against his accuser

Citing people present at the pub that evening, she stated that the woman had only drunk one glass of champagne, emphasizing that “she was fine, she wasn’t stumbling, she wasn’t slurring her words.”

“Pete was drunk. She was fine,” she said.

Later, Hegseth According to the police report, Kelly noticed that he and his accuser were caught on camera leaving the pool and returning to the hotel after the alleged assault.

“Their arms are intertwined, like a boy and a girl. She’s smiling, she doesn’t look drunk,” she added.

Kelly noted that after returning to the hotel room, she was texting her spouse, explaining that it didn’t sound like she was “intoxicated.”

Hegseth has not been named as a defendant in any civil proceedings or as a defendant in any criminal proceedings. However, when he was accused of rape, he divorced his second wife.
