Police arrest suspect in Brattleboro stabbing

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A man is recovering after being stabbed in the head.

Police say the man holding the knife will appear in court on Monday.

Brattleboro police say they responded to a home on Oak Street around 6:15 Sunday night on reports of a robbery.

They found the victim suffering from stab wounds to his head and has since been treated and released this morning.

The police arrested 21-year-old Aleksander Meima.

He will be arraigned on Monday on a charge of first-degree assault.
