Miami Springs police say 30-year-old Tyrone Armbrister is the man seen on surveillance video attack on an e-cigarette store employee November 9.

On Sunday afternoon, Armbrister turned himself in to police.

Police said he bought two cigarettes at the Red Eye Smoke Shop in Miami Springs around 11:30 p.m. on November 9.

He returned about 20 minutes later with his shirt over his shoulder and became aggressive towards the employee before dragging her into a back storage room.

According to the arrest report, Armbrister offered her $100 for sex.

The report shows that the employee, fearing for her life, rejected his request and tried to defuse the situation.

She said he suddenly moved towards her and then dragged her to the back of the store, where he covered her face with his shirt and sexually assaulted her.

“Once again, like I said, he was touching my (expletive) and pulling down my pants, and I was asking him not to do it, not to do anything to me, and to fight,” he said. the woman told NBC6.

“Please leave!” she heard screams.

The attack lasted several minutes, but the woman was able to defend herself by punching the man, grabbing a toilet plunger and beating him with it.

On Sunday afternoon, shortly before 3 p.m., Armbrister turned himself into Miami Gardens police and told officers he had committed sexual battery and was taken to the Miami Springs Police Department.

“My sincere apologies. I hope she’s okay,” Armbrister said as he left the Miami Springs police station in handcuffs.

Armbrister told NBC6 that he didn’t realize what happened until a few days later because he was under the influence.

“I made the mistake of probably drinking too much and at that point I made a mistake. I let someone put something in my drink without paying attention to it,” the suspect said.

Tyrone Armbrister’s arrest report states that he had clearly changed his appearance by cutting his hair and shaving his beard.

In his testimony to the police, he admitted that he changed his appearance because he saw it in films and was thinking about escaping the city.

Police say that during Sunday’s interview, Armbrister was wearing the same boxer shorts he was wearing on the day of the attack.

“Someone contacted me and said, ‘OK,'” Armbrister said.

The suspect claims he has never done anything like this before and was shocked when a friend showed him video of the November 9 attack.

He faces charges including sexual battery without serious bodily injury, false imprisonment and burglary with assault or battery.

“I came back because someone has to take responsibility,” Armbrister said.
