WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue University freshman Connor Simmons died Sunday peacefully at Wiley Residence Hall, according to Tippecanoe County Coroner Carrie Costello. There is no suspicion of foul play.

Simmons, 18, of Lafayette, was found dead Sunday afternoon, according to Costello.

Costello said in a press release that preliminary autopsy results from Monday’s procedure are awaited. This includes the manner and cause of Simmons’ death. Toxicology reports will take up to eight weeks to complete.

Costello said the forensic pathologist found no serious trauma or injuries during the autopsy.
