The police are appealing after the death of a motorcyclist in an accident in Sinope

Police have launched an appeal after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash on the A511 in Leicestershire.

Leicestershire Police said officers were called to a section of road at Sinope, near the junction with Alton Hill, at 22:15 GMT on Monday.

A gray Hyundai i10 and an orange KTM 125 Duke motorcycle collided, as a result of which the car went off the road, police said.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 20-year-old man, died on the spot, while the driver of the car, a 40-year-old woman, was taken to hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
