Sean “Diddy” Combs charged with sexual assault in two new trials

Two more sexual assault lawsuits were filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs this week, both accusing the billionaire of grooming, sexual misconduct and threats of retaliation that occurred when the plaintiffs were minors. The two lawsuits are separate lawsuits, but both allege that Combs abused his power and influence by coercing minors into sexual activity by promising them careers in the music industry.

The lawsuits add to the more than 20 civil cases filed against the music and media giant last year and the pending federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges against Combs, but are notable for being the youngest of Combs’ alleged victims to date.

In the first lawsuit, plaintiff John Doe accuses Combs of assaulting him at a New York hotel in 2005, when the plaintiff was only 10 years old. The unnamed accuser, who now lives in California, claims that at the time he dreamed of becoming a rapper and/or actor. His parents hired a guidance counselor to help him, who suggested he fly to New York to meet with influential industry players like Combs. According to the case file, after the plaintiff arrived, the consultant arranged for him to “audition” Combs in a hotel room in New York. During the meeting, plaintiff was left alone with Combs, and after performing several rap songs, Combs stated that he “could make him a star.” The plaintiff was given a soda and after drinking it, he began to feel dizzy. The plaintiff believes drugs were added to the drink, “including but not limited to GHB and/or ecstasy.”

The complaint says Doe felt unstable and that Combs pushed the boy onto the bed in the hotel room. Combs then pulled his penis out of his pants and told the 10-year-old to “kiss him” before shoving it into the boy’s mouth. The boy fainted from shock and fear. When the plaintiff regained consciousness, Combs was still in the room and the boy’s “pants were unbuttoned and his anus and buttocks were in great pain.” Combs told the plaintiff that he would hurt his parents if he told anyone what happened. The record shows that the plaintiff did so shortly thereafter, but at the time the family was so afraid of the consequences of reporting Combs that they did not come forward.

In a separate complaint, the John Doe victim claims she was 17 years old when Combs repeatedly sexually assaulted her during a series of encounters. Around 2008, the boy attended a three-day audition for Diddy’s hit MTV competition series. Creating a team. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff saw an opportunity on the Internet and in newspaper ads and believed this was his chance to break into the music industry. During the hearing, the plaintiff moved on to a stage where participants met individually in private rooms with Combs and his bodyguard.

During his first one-on-one conversation with Combs, the plaintiff states that the mogul began asking him hypothetical questions about how to respond to sexual pressure. While asking John Doe questions, Combs began fondling the plaintiff’s genitals and masturbating. “Combs emphasized his ability to control plaintiff’s future in the music industry, stating that he had the ability to make or break his career,” the lawsuit details. During another interview with Combs, the plaintiff was instructed to undress and prove he could be the “sex idol” in the band. Combs then allegedly forced the 17-year-old boy to perform oral sex and sodomized him. During the third meeting, Combs allegedly introduced plaintiff to his security guard named “T” and forced the boy to perform oral sex on “T” as well. According to the lawsuit, “Combs characterized this as a test of plaintiff’s willingness to do whatever it takes to succeed in the music industry.” When the plaintiff showed hesitation, Combs determined that he was not trustworthy. Shortly after performing oral sex on the security guard, the plaintiff claims he was eliminated from auditions and was barred from entering the music industry for several years.

These latest cases were brought to the New York Supreme Court by the law firm of Tony Buzbee – the same Texas-based firm that made headlines last month after announcing it would represent more than 100 alleged victims against Combs. Combs maintains, through his lawyers, that he has never sexually assaulted or trafficked people who have filed civil lawsuits against him.
