Armie Hammer ‘kind of likes’ cannibalism accusations after being exiled from Hollywood

“I won’t lie. I kind of like the cannibal stuff right now. I just say, ‘Hey, I’m a cannibal,'” Hammer told his first guest, comedian Tom Arnold, who remarked, “Cannibalism is my favorite.”

“What makes more noise? Armie Hammer is a cannibal, can Armie Hammer not be a cannibal?”

Hammer added: “This cannibal thing is making more noise and there is no apology tour in this world. For example, someone says something about you, everyone believes it, and then they go on living as they want. We focus on them because they have a life of their own.”

The The “Call Me By Your Name” star. was accused of sexual assault in 2017 by an ex-girlfriend, who also claimed that Hammer raped her “brutally” and “for over four hours.”

His career was derailed after a series of text messages that allegedly detailed sexual fantasies, including references to rape, violence and cannibalism. They were leaked online via an anonymous Instagram account called “House of Effie”.

Another ex-girlfriend, Paige Lorenze, accused Hammer of branding her with a knife. His ex-wife, Elizabeth Chambers, filed for divorce in 2020, months before allegations of molestation, rape and cannibalistic fantasies against Hammer went public. Their the divorce was finalized last year.

Despite a difficult few years, Hammer said he’s “grateful” to have made it through “all that bullshit… because where I am now is so much better than if none of it had ever happened.”

He remembered the gradual pace at which it “hit the fan” and receiving calls from his agent telling him that someone on the Internet had said he was “being violent.”

“No details, but they just say you’re being violent and it’s starting to gain traction,” Hammer said. When his agent asked if he knew who was behind the accusations, Hammer replied, “Yes, I know exactly who it is.”

Hammer noted that online critics fanned the fire and asked their accusers, “Did he rape you? You should call the police.” He said: “And she then wrote on the Internet: ‘He never raped me. The police were not needed. It was by mutual consent.” She showed it all. When that rape case was dropped, I felt like… I hit the fan so hard it exploded.”

He recalled his lawyer advising him to keep quiet at the time and telling him: “There’s nothing you can do or say. They are going to investigate you, so you need to shut the fuck up.” “

“That’s why I stayed completely silent,” Hammer said. “I remained silent throughout the 2.5 years of the investigation because I wasn’t going to do anything to make the situation worse.”

Arnold asked, “Was it hard to stay silent?” to which Hammer said, “Oh yeah, it was very hard because all these people were saying things about me, but I couldn’t do anything to defend myself.”

Initially, Hammer held “a lot of resentment” towards those who abandoned him during the scandal, from his PR representative to his agent and close friends.

In August, Hammer revealed that he had to replace his truck after stating that he “can’t afford” gas since returning to Los Angeles.
