CCTV appeal to identify man under investigation for rape

Detectives investigating a serious sexual assault are appealing for the public’s help.

They believe the man in the photo may have information that could assist the investigation into the incident in Bristol.

He is described as white, 25-30 years old, of medium build. He is shown wearing a white sweater, a black vest and a white baseball cap.

On Sunday, March 24, between 2:00 a.m. and 3:30 a.m., the victim was raped in Colston Parade near Redcliff Hill.

Investigating officer, DC Ewan Brand, said: “I must commend the bravery of the victim who came forward after this incident. I don’t underestimate the strength and courage it must have taken.

“In our investigations we always pay attention to the impact such incidents may have on the victim. In recent months, we have conducted a number of investigations, including: examination of the forensic evidence, and we have now reached the stage where we can issue this appeal.

“Do you recognize this man? We believe he may have some information that could assist our investigation.
