Did Tim Walz have an affair with a Chinese official’s daughter? – First post

Thirty-five years before US Vice President Kamala Harris selected Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate, he was allegedly involved in a secret relationship with Jenna Wang, the daughter of a senior Chinese Communist Party official.

The affair allegedly occurred in the 1980s while Walz was teaching in Foshan through the nonprofit WorldTeach.

In a telephone conversation with PostWang revealed that she fell in love with Tim Walz when he was a young English teacher at a high school in Foshan, Guangdong Province, China. She expected their passionate romance in 1989 to end with a proposal, but instead it ended in heartbreak, leading her to consider suicide.

Explaining that Walz had suggested he intended to marry her, Wang said: “I felt deeply offended, hurt, and had to leave the place because many people knew we had a relationship.”

After returning to the United States, he continued to send her letters throughout the summer, even asking for a passport-sized photo, which she believed indicated he was helping her obtain a visa.

“The lack of character of a man, a responsible person who worked in education or (in) the military,” she added.

“I thought he loved me too. I loved him.

“I felt like I was treated like a prostitute.”

“While it’s true that you didn’t promise marriage before returning to China, I assumed the marriage would be what I expected,” she wrote.

“Also, marriage is what you convinced me to believe in, and you also convinced others, including your friend who we had tea with.”

Wang said there was a dispute between the couple as to whether her feelings for Walz were genuine or whether she only wanted a visa, which “shocked” her because she was willing to give up her entire life in China to be with him Nebraska.

After returning to the United States in 1993, he married Gwen Whipple and together they have two children.

Now Wang, a teacher and translator in Europe, felt compelled to speak out about what she called Walz’s “selfish” behavior and lack of transparency.

Since Walz is currently the Democratic vice presidential candidate, she said, “This is a very pivotal moment in history, and it seems like a man like this lacks the character and integrity to do one of the most important jobs in the world.”

Walz is expected to face backlash as the Democratic presidential nominee in light of these allegations, which could further complicate the Democratic presidential nominee’s campaign, especially since she has already made controversial headlines with due to the controversy surrounding her husband, Doug Emhoff.

Republicans are calling for an investigation

In light of revelations about Tim Walz’s relationship with Jenna Wang, Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio is calling for a thorough investigation.

He said Walz should be looked at more closely because of his relationship with Wang, saying “voters deserve to know” the full scope of any potential consequences just days before the election.

“If today’s story in (Daily Mail.) it is true, Tim Walz was in a relationship with the daughter of a high-ranking Chinese Communist Party official and remained in contact with her for years,” Rubio wrote in X.

“If you aspire to be vice president of the United States, voters deserve to know everything about any ties to the CCP.

Rubio serves as vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee and is also a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Additionally, the House Oversight and Accountability Committee requested information from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) regarding Walz’s ties to China. They expressed concerns that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) could potentially influence the White House if elected.
