Two teenagers died in a house fire in Coventry Township

Two teenagers died after a fire on Cove Avenue in Coventry Township.

The services were called to the scene at 3:30

The entire front of the house is covered with ash.

The chief says the victims were sleeping when the fire started, before the grandmother called 911, and most of the flames were coming from the back of the house.

Authorities said Summit County sheriff’s deputies were the first to arrive on the scene, but the fire was too hot and intense for them to extract the victims.

The chief is also unsure whether the smoke detectors in the house were working because they did not go off when they arrived.

Grandma is in critical condition.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office has begun an investigation into the possible cause of this deadly fire.
