Tim Hortons in Toronto damaged after car accident

Paramedics say the driver who crashed his car into a downtown Toronto Tim Hortons early Friday morning suffered minor injuries.

It happened around 2:15 a.m Yonge Street and Sheldrake Boulevardnorth of Eglinton Avenue.

Video from the scene obtained by CP24 shows the severely damaged vehicle partially inside the cafe, leaning against the building’s curved facade.

Toronto Fire Department officials said city engineers were called to the scene to assess the structural integrity of the building.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The cause of the disaster is unknown.
