A Japanese tourist died and 12 people were injured in a bus accident in Malaysia

One Japanese tourist was killed and 12 others injured when a bus and a truck collided on an expressway in western Malaysia.

The travel agency that organized the trip said 11 Japanese tourists were on the bus, as well as a local driver and a guide. The accident occurred on Thursday in Perak state.

The company claims that a Japanese woman in her 70s died in the accident. He says four other tourists were hospitalized and are conscious.

The company said the bus was headed to Cameron Highlands, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Malaysia.

JTB president and CEO Yamakita Eijiro said: “We want to support customers and their families affected by the accident.”

This place is one of the main expressways in Malaysia connecting the northern part of the country with the capital Kuala Lumpur.

Local police are investigating the causes of the accident. They suspect the bus may have hit the back of the truck.
