A serious accident is closing northbound SR 87 near Bush Highway

MARICOPA COUNTY, AZ (AZ Family) — The East Valley Highway is closed in one direction Friday morning after a serious crash.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a vehicle overturned around 3:30 a.m. on northbound SR 87 near Bush Highway.

Serious injuries were reported in the crash, but details on how many people were injured and their conditions remain unclear.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, northbound lanes of SR 87 are closed at Bush Highway. There is no estimated time for the highway to reopen.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.

The southbound lanes remain unaffected.
