Trump is gaining support from ‘highly respected’ Muslim leaders on the battlefield

Former President Trump gained the support of “highly respected” Muslim leaders and imams at a campaign rally in the battleground state of Michigan.

Trump speaks to the crowd in Novi, Michiganon Saturday afternoon, he called a group of Muslim leaders “very respectable” and then brought them on stage.

“I am thrilled to receive the endorsement of these incredibly respected leaders,” Trump told the thundering crowd.

The group of leaders cited Trump’s commitment to ending wars and ensuring world peace as the main reason for their support, describing him as a leader who “promises peace, not war.”

“We, as Muslims, stand with President Trump because he promises peace and he does not war!” – said Imam Belal Alzuhairi.

“We support Donald Trump because he promised to end the war in the Middle East and Ukraine” said Alzuhairi. “The bloodshed must be stopped around the world and I think this man can do it. I personally believe that God saved his life twice for a reason.”

Mayor Bill Bazzi, the first Muslim and Arab American elected mayor of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, was also at the rally to show support for Trump.

“We will stop the wars, we will make it happen The United States is safe againand we will make the world safe,” Bazzi said.

“What a nice endorsement,” Trump said after Bazzi’s speech. “These are great people.”

The official support of Muslim leaders came from Mayor Amer Ghalib Hamtramck on the outskirts of Detroitannounced his support for Trump in a Facebook post on October 20.

“While everything looks good, he may win the election and become the 47th president of the United States, but I believe this is the right choice at this critical time,” Ghalib wrote in Arabic on his Facebook page. “I will not regret my decision regardless of the outcome and I am ready to face the consequences. For this and many other reasons, I announce my support and endorsement of the first and hopefully next President of the United States, Donald Trump.”

Ghalib’s endorsement of Trump comes after the two met earlier this week in Flint for a private 20-minute conversation.

Ghalib told The Detroit News that Trump “knew a lot about me before the meeting.”

“We talked about a variety of topics including debates, poll updates, voting statistics in Michigan and Wayne County, Arab-American concerns and Yemeni Americans in particular. We also talked about the situation in Yemen,” Ghalib said.

Swing state

The critical state of Michigan has seen a record number of early votes so far.

More than 1.2 million people voted, according to the Michigan Department of State’s dashboard in Michigan already voted in this year’s election using early voting or absentee voting, breaking the previous record for early voting in the state.
